Andy Ard believes great songs are great songs, whatever the genre. His feet are planted in the energetic pop rock of his heroes The Kinks and Elvis Costello, but his Atlanta roots reveal funky, twangy, and even classical influences. David Barbe of Sugar described him as having the gift of melody. Ard's sharp, vibrant original songs garnered a Westword Award nomination in 2001 for best singer-songwriter, and more recently he was featured in Eric Shiveley's music documentary, "Everyone But You".
