Doping scandal rocks semiconductor world

SILICON VALLEY - Officials in charge of semiconductor events have accused numerous electronics manufacturers of introducing impurities into their products in order to modulate its electrical properties, or "doping".

Manufacturers have not responded to the allegations, but insiders have indicated that the practice is widespread in the industry.
